Birthday Boys

Life's been crazy here the past couple of weeks. Had to put Aunt Nena in a nursing home, it's just short term, but it's been quite an experience. The good news is, it's a really nice place only 10 minutes from us, so it's very convenient. She seems very pleased with it. We're picking her up Saturday for the boys Birthday party. I had fun making these invitations. Alex sang the "F-U-N" song for me several times so I could get the lyrics down, lol.

My hairdresser encouraged me to let her cut and re-style my hair. I told her to do what she wanted. I had to laugh when I realize she gave me Shari's hairstyle!

paper scrapping!

Haven't done much paper scrapping this year, but I stole a few hours during Nate's nap to work on the class assignments I missed in Cancun. Each day we were supposed to do a layout with a different approach, ie, design first, story first, photos first, product first, tools first. I knew that photos first was my comfort zone and that product first is easy for me because of my business. I found that story first was rather delightful as well. Design first was torture for me, and I gave up on tool first after 5 minutes of painful deliberation - definitely NOT my comfort zone.

I dusted off some "vintage" TLC product for these babies! I was also delighted to discover that I could print on a 12x12 sheet of cardstock even after adhering the ribbon and photo mat - it came out perfect! (my guy face)

I hate being sick. I've been fighting a cold since Cancun and it finally caught up with me this week. Big awful sinus headache and utter exhaustion. Ugh! (whine, sniffle, poor me, whine whine) Better week next week . . .

Ok so the Pats lost. Sad way to end such a great season. But what an awesome thing for the Manning family! Our party was a huge success - if a bit crowded. Almost every single person we invited came - and then some! We had so much fun, even my hubby was not too upset over the upset.
