I just read about this challenge and decided to join, here's day 1 from my current project. Took these shots of Alex in sparring class this morning.

I am loving my new 85mm 1.8 Canon lens (for which I sold off all my sizzix). Learned some photo editing tips in my photoshop class, they're slowing me down on the scrapping but the photos are looking better!

Do share the shading technique that used here. I am not sure how to outline like you did. I can do a shape but not an outline shape.
Thanks!
Fabulous photos and your layout is amazing.
I NEED photo-editing tips. Those are GREAT shots!!
Thanks!! It only appears to follow the shape, I got lucky there. I just did standard ovals with the elliptical marquee tool feathered at 250, selected the inverse, and filled with black at 39-49% opacity. I was not thrilled with the background when I shot them, but it was the closest thing to solid I could find at the karate studio, and the results are wonderful. Of course, I tortured my son with a few dozen shots, and the very first one was the best one, lol.
The photos do look awesome!!! Great layouts too!!!
Great layout, Glad you are joining us!!
